OTAT reserves the right to delay, decline, or refuse supply where there are concerns regarding safety, suitability, clinical appropriateness, environmental compatibility, funding status, product availability, or compliance with manufacturer requirements.
9. Product Suitability
Assistive Technology products may not be suitable for all users or environments.
Customers are responsible for ensuring that products purchased directly online are suitable for their needs, circumstances, environment, size, weight, ability, and intended use.
For complex or higher-risk equipment, professional advice, assessment, trial, or measurement may be required before purchase.
OTAT is not responsible for inappropriate product selection where customers purchase products directly without seeking advice.
10. Shipping and Delivery
Delivery timeframes are estimates only and are not guaranteed.
We are not responsible for delays caused by:
Manufacturers
Suppliers
Freight providers
Weather events
Industrial action
Customs or import delays
Public holidays
Incorrect delivery details provided by the customer
Circumstances beyond our reasonable control
Customers must ensure delivery details are accurate.
Risk in products passes to the customer upon delivery.
Customers should inspect products promptly upon receipt and notify OTAT of damage, missing items, or delivery issues as soon as practicable.
11. Large, Heavy, or Bulky Items
Large or bulky Assistive Technology products may require special delivery arrangements.

Additional freight charges
Manual handling considerations
Assembly requirements
Delivery access requirements
Longer delivery timeframes
Separate delivery quotes
Examples may include wheelchairs, mobility scooters, electric beds, mattresses, pressure care equipment, and other large items.
OTAT may contact the customer to confirm delivery arrangements before processing or dispatching such items.
12. Assembly, Installation, and Setup
Some products may require assembly, adjustment, installation, setup, or fitting.
Unless specifically stated in writing, product prices do not include installation, setup, home modifications, technician services, or professional fitting.
Customers must follow manufacturer instructions and safety guidelines.
Where professional installation, setup, or adjustment is required, OTAT may recommend that this is completed by a qualified person.
13. Returns and Refunds
Returns and refunds are governed by:

Our Returns and Refund Policy
Change-of-mind returns may not be available for all products.
Customised, modified, special-order, trialled, fitted, hygiene-related, or participant-specific equipment may not be eligible for return unless required under Australian Consumer Law.

Products must be returned in accordance with our Returns and Refund Policy.
14. Australian Consumer Law

Manufacturer warranties apply in addition to any rights under Australian Consumer Law.
16. NDIS Funding Disclaimer
OTAT may supply products that participants choose to purchase using NDIS funding where appropriate.
However:
OTAT does not guarantee NDIS funding approval
Funding decisions are made by the NDIA, plan managers, self-managed participants, or other funding bodies
Product eligibility depends on the participant’s plan, goals, needs, funding availability, and individual circumstances
Customers remain responsible for payment where funding is declined, delayed, exhausted, or unavailable
OTAT is not responsible for NDIS plan overspending, funding shortfalls, or funding rejections
Information on this website is general only and should not be relied upon as confirmation that a product will be funded by the NDIS.

Submitting a referral, enquiry, quote request, or contact form does not guarantee acceptance, service provision, product availability, funding approval, or supply.

OTAT reserves the right to decline referrals or enquiries where the request is outside our scope, where the product is unsuitable, where safety concerns exist, or where further professional assessment is required.
Submission of a referral does not create a therapist-client, clinician-client, or service provider relationship unless confirmed in writing.
19. Account Registration
Where account registration is available, customers are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login details.
Customers are responsible for all activity under their account.
You must notify OTAT immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
OTAT may suspend or terminate accounts where misuse, fraud, or security concerns are identified.
20. Promotions, Discounts, and Gift Cards
Promotions, discounts, coupon codes, and special offers may be subject to additional terms and expiry dates.
OTAT reserves the right to modify, withdraw, or cancel promotions at any time.
Promotional offers cannot be exchanged for cash unless required by law.
